Creative outcome - Transversal River Map
The River Collage is to navigate the river in a different way. It is created from gathering tacit knowledge from two creative practice workshops at the Flood Risk Management 2020, in Glasgow. The dialogue poses as a site for rhizomatic assemblage of ideas, objects, thoughts and emotions that bring together unexprected possibility. The questions are intended to instigate and re-frame the relational position of the person with the river in terms of Guattari’s “Three Ecologies”, i.e. what he calls “the three ecological registers: environment, social relations and human subjectivity.” It suggests that nature and culture are not separate and that interactions between ecosystems, the social and the individual universes of reference can be re-framed by “thinking transversally”, where new meanings emerge.
