The Dee River

‘The Dee River Series’ (2019)

An exploration of the Dee River catchment, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The black and white aerial photographs were taken during 1987 and 1988 and the colour photgraphs were taken during 2007. The top collages are the tertiary tributaries of the Dee River, the middle collages are the secondary tributraies of the Dee River and the bottom collages are the Dee River. Each square represents 467 m2. Each selected square tries to maintain the Dee River or tribuatray to be in the centre of the image. The images between the two time frames correlate to the same area. For example, the top right corner of the 1988 tertiary tributaries of the Dee River is the same location 19 years later shown in the 2007 tertiary tributaries of the Dee River collage.
